In agency-mediated employment, the individual employer receives advice and support from an organization in their role as an employer for various administrative tasks related to the employment relationship: candidate searches, recruitment and hiring, payroll, and sometimes even handling of income tax withholding. The individual employer retains overall responsibility as the employer of their worker.
